Our Pre-K curriculum is a blend of The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and Pre-K and the additional Kaleidoscope Academy curriculum add-ins. Emphasized content areas include: social-emotional development, physical development, language development, cognitive development, literacy, mathematics, science & technology, social studies and the arts.
We provide expansive learning environments for four and five year olds, indoors and out. During the last year before going off to Kindergarten, the children learn to be independent thinkers and doers. Our Pre-K lesson plans are developed using the well-regarded curriculum "The Creative Curriculum for Preschool", which enhanced Kindergarten readiness skills.
Writing in journals, learning to tell time and learning to tie their shoes, are just a few things they may come home bragging about. Through our Pre-K program, we hope to make a positive difference in the educational achievements of your child.
Walking into our Pre-K classroom you will find a large, colorful room divided into carefully planned interest areas. The classroom is organized around interest areas and learning centers. These defined areas allow children to play and explore materials with the guidance of the teacher either individually or in small groups. The defined centers are filled with a variety of materials for your child to manipulate, explore, play with, and share. The room is especially designed to encourage your child’s natural curiosity and desire to learn about their world.
Each child will have a personal cubby for spare clothes and take home items.
